Children’s Orthodontics with an Airway Approach — Sleep Utah

Children’s orthodontics with an airway approach.

Kids don’t complain about bad sleep — they wear it. Restless days, short fuses, trouble focusing. If that sounds like your child, their nights are worth a look.

CHECK YOUR CHILD’S SLEEP

Does this sound like your child?

Poor sleep hides in plain sight. A few things worth noticing:

  • Snoring or mouth-breathing at night
  • Restless sleep, night wakings, grinding
  • Hard mornings, cranky evenings
  • Trouble focusing or sitting still
  • Bedwetting past the usual age
  • Crowded teeth or a narrow palate

Better sleep, open airways, straighter teeth.

One simple approach to all three.

1

Improve sleep.

Steadier breathing means deeper sleep — and deeper sleep shows up in the daytime: calmer, brighter, more focused.

2

Open airways.

A child’s airway is still forming. We help it develop the room it needs, so breathing gets easier day and night.

3

Straighten teeth.

Crowded teeth usually mean the jaw needs more space. Guiding growth now can mean less correction later.

Why early matters.

A child’s jaw and airway are still growing — which makes childhood the best window to help. Small guidance now shapes how the airway, the face, and the smile develop for life.

What a visit looks like.

1

A look and a listen. We gently check your child’s airway, jaw, and teeth. No scary equipment.

2

How they sleep. We find out what’s really happening at night.

3

A small custom appliance. Made for their mouth. Younger kids wear it only at night; older kids may add daytime aligners.

4

We watch them grow. Regular check-ins as the airway and smile develop.

Dr. Magness has been treating children’s airways for over two decades.

Give them better nights.

Better sleep now. A healthier airway and smile for life.
